Wiki
When to Eat?
Pain Fruit is best eaten on the islands of the Second Sea or Third Sea, where there are plenty of enemies for farming mastery and levels.
Haunted Castle (Second Sea) is ideal for eating here because the island is full of skeletons and ghosts in the castle.
You can also easily spam Z and X to build your Pain Meter and mastery. The ghosts' AoE damage will be great for clearing out crowds of mobs.
Castle on the Sea (Third Sea, central hub) - Eat here before raids, there's a factory and bosses nearby, and Pain can awaken right here. The island is also usually crowded with players for PvP encounters.
These islands are ideal for Pain because they allow you to level up and practice your ranged combat and crowd control skills.
Also, don't count on going to the First Sea (such as Jungle or Pirate Village) with Pain, because there are always few mobs there, and no bosses to speed up awakening.

Special Features
Pain uses energy attacks, works with energy, absorbs damage into the Pain Meter for buffs, and constantly spawns Pain Ghosts, which help you hit enemies and refill your Pain Meter.
You gain a Ghost if you're killed while resurrected, but if the Ghost has unlimited resurrection time, you'll only have 30 seconds to finish off an enemy. Upon resurrection, you'll receive a damage bonus, a speed buff, and reduced cooldowns.
Pain is also strong in PvP thanks to its stuns and excellent range – it works effectively across almost the entire map, hitting almost any enemy.
Pain will perform well against bounty hunters and groups of enemies.
Overall, it's a very powerful fruit, roughly equal in power to Gravity and Venom.
He'll perform poorly against Kitsune and doesn't always fare well against Spirit, although he's also roughly equal.
Pain can perform well against Portal due to Portal's weak damage & due Pain's range. He's also significantly stronger than Spider, even in PvP, which is Spider's strong point.

Pain: Strength Guide
Player vs Player: 8/10 - An excellent choice for PvP from all points of view. Multi-target, as well as a large range on all skills. Pain just has a killer damage because of which this fruit has become a favorite of many players. Torturing Pulse and Agony Nuke is what will make your opponent a fried patty.
Grinding: 6/10 - A good, but not ideal, choice for grinding. Excellent stun abilities and combo potential. However, Pain has a catch: it's a truly powerful fruit, but it requires mastery. It requires skill to wield, as inexperienced hands it doesn't reach its full potential and can be a weak tool overall.
Area of Effect: 9/10 - Agony Nuke and Torment Warp are excellent choices for area-of-effect fights. Pain is very strong fruit in AoE.
Attack: 7/10 - A good choice for passing the game excellent qualities in mobility and ability to combo attacks, a powerful damage and low cooldowns. The pain is really strong fruit in the attack.
Damage: 9/10 - Pain produces incredible results in both area-of-effect and single-target damage, as the absorbed Pain Ghosts fill the Pain meter, which enhances your normal attacks, reduces cooldowns, and can increase your speed.
Defense: 7/10 - Rage Release, Torturing Pulse, or Torment Warp for knocking back waves of mobs—what will you choose for your defensive options? Pain is a good choice for defense at all stages of the game.
Knockback: 7/10 - Minimal knockback issues are very helpful in combat for offensive and defensive actions and AoE attacks.
Cooldown: 6/10 - Excellent cooldown figures in Last Stand mode, but in normal formations the fruit is not as mobile and fast.
Range: 8/10 - Cool range for those who love long-range attacks and control of the combat zone. Fury Jab is somewhat reminiscent of Tiger's Spiraling Kick at the lows.
Mobility: 7/10 -
Combo potential: 7/10 - Pain allows you to make killer and quite beautiful and long combos.
On the Seas: 7/10 - An excellent choice for use in the Seas. Its area-of-effect attacks, relatively low knockback, and damage conversion from incoming hits make it invaluable against bosses, including those like Leviathan. Torturing Pulse and Agony Nuke will look great against sea monsters.
rated chart:
95/130
Passive:
Pain Meter, Last Stand, Pain Ghosts
Pain Meter - A passive pain meter that fills when taking damage and absorbing Pain Ghosts. A full meter increases normal attack damage and reduces skill cooldowns.
Last Stand - After losing all health, you enter a special state. Damage is reduced by 60%, skill cooldowns are reduced by 60%, and M1 damage is nearly doubled.
Pain Ghosts - Each time the user misses a Z, X, C, or F move, they appear as a Pain Ghost with a sinister smile.
